A Fanfare for Quantum Leap - Composition Competition

Quantum Leap is currently being built in Shrewsbury town centre as a memorial to Charles Darwin, born here 200 years ago. This stunning sculpture will be one of the largest pieces of public art in the country and sits opposite the brand new Theatre Severn on the banks of the river.

Darwin Stamps to be launched

Royal Mail is launching a range of new stamps to commemorate the bi-centenary of Charles Darwin. The grand unveiling of the six new designs will take place on February 12th; the 200th birthday of the man himself, in his birthplace of Shrewsbury.
